A
Weekly Newsletter for Students and Parents

February 6, 2012
We had a wonderful 100th Day of School last Monday!
The students were adorable dressing as 100 years old and we had a
wonderful time measuring with 100!
Also, thank you for sending 100 coins for Arkansas Children’s
Hospital. Together in
second grade, we collected $500.00 for a great cause!
Our story for the week is The Signmaker’s Assistant and
you can read it at home by logging on to www-k6.thinkcentral.com.
The username is the student’s first initial and last name (no
spaces or periods) and their password is their lunch number.
We will be working on using commas in dates and places in writing
this week.
This week, the students will be out Friday, February 10th,
for Parent Conference Day.
The students will also be out Monday, February 13th, for a
Professional Development Day for teachers.
Tuesday, February 14th, is Valentine’s Day and we will
be having a party Tuesday afternoon.
Please send Valentines for every student in the class that
Tuesday. There are 24
children in our class. I
will send home a class list with everyone’s names, but you
do not have to write a name on the Valentines.
If you have pictures from the Father/Daughter Dance, please send
them so we can see! You can
email or send printed pictures!
